Can athletes please register as soon as possible
- accommondation requests need to be with the race
director David Abrutat by latest 4th August 2006
for the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington.
1. Registration/Payment procedure
Firstly, and most importantly at this stage, I need to
clarify the registration and payment procedure.
All registrations must be received
AND PAID FOR by August 18th . Payments must be
sent to me by cheque (address below) or by bank
transfer, payable to the following account:
Dr DJ Abrutat Events Account
Barclays Bank plc, 128 High St Branch, Cheltenham, GLOS,
UK
IBAN GB88 BARC 2020 1520 8396 55
SWIFTBIC BARCGB22
[For any USA athletes Barclays require you to use an
additional routeing code 026002574)
This is particularly relevant for those of you requiring
hotel accommodation; without this payment, a hotel room
will not be reserved for you. Any athlete who would like
to participate in the race but does not need
accommodation will have until August 25th to pay the £15
race entry fee, by cheque to me, or by bank transfer,
details as above. Under no
circumstances will payment be accepted on the day (cash
or cheque).
2. Race Package
Included in your race package of £150 (EUR 210): 2
nights accommodation in a twin room at the race hotel (Copthorne
Tara Hotel, Kensington), including breakfast, race
transfers, limited airport transfers, pasta meal pre and
post race (excluding drinks), race entry fee.
3. Companions/guests
If you will be accompanied during your stay in London,
please be aware that the race package of £150 covers
accommodation in a twin room, sharing with a fellow
athlete. Therefore, should you be sharing with someone
not registered for the race, this person will have to
pay £65 to cover 50% of the room charge, for each of the
2 nights race package stay. You and your companion will
be responsible for the full room price for any other
nights stay, as these extra nights will not be covered
in the race package. Again, this money must be received
by August 18th, by cheque or bank transfer to the
account details above.
4. Airport transfers
There will be one pick up at London Heathrow Airport
(time to be confirmed) on Friday 1st September and one
on Saturday 2nd September. Drop off will be on Monday
4th September (time to be confirmed). If the times/days
are not convenient, we may have an alternative, but you
may need to make your own way to and from the hotel.
5. Hotel
You will be asked to produce your personal credit card
upon check-in at the hotel. Please note that check-in
will NOT be permitted without a valid credit card. This
will cover any extras (mini bar, telephone etc), for any
drinks at the pasta meals and for any additional nights
stay, outside of the 2 night race package. Also, if
there is any athlete that you would particularly like to
be sharing a room with please let me know ASAP and we
will try to accommodate.
6. Race transfers
On Sunday 3rd September it is obligatory for
ALL athletes (whether
domestic or international riders) to use the buses
provided by the organisers to transfer to the start of
the race. This is because of security restrictions at
the start/finish area - Individual vehicles will not be
granted access. You will receive full information on
timings etc shortly.
Online registration is now available for the race.
