The idea for the creation of a World Handcycling
Federation (WHF) developed over 2005 and in December
2005 at a meeting in Munich, Germany the foundations
for the organisation were built. The WHF has been
established since then but will not officially be
endorsed until the 1st Annual Congress (September
2006 in London) which will be the foundation meeting
for the organisation.
The WHF role will be to direct, develop, control,
promote and regulate Handcycling worldwide. It will
also organise global Handcycling events & the WHF
World Cup series. Alongside the promotion of sportsmanship
and fair play, the WHF will represent Handcycling
and defend its interests at all national and
international authorities.
